'You should always work out at a gym with a View'- Mendocino Coast & Tree in Petaluma

Part of a project for New Balance. When the AD and I were speaking about this shot he told me he wanted a 'tree with a view, overlooking the ocean'. Problem is there are NO trees that overlook the ocean, at least this size. I know since I scouted this one myself, drove from SF to the CA/OR. border just to be 'sure'. Nope, no trees, at least not like this. So I found a great ocean backdrop AND a great tree, we shot the (real) athlete doing pullups on the treebranch and then stripped the tree, althlete and grass into the foreground Hwy. 1 pullout. Quite successfully I'd say. Scouted to match angle of sun, etc.
